Once the Judgment of Divorce is entered, it is final as to the property distribution and financial issues, unless it is appealed for grounds such as fraud, mutual mistake, a procedural error or an error made by the Court. After a Judgment of Divorce is entered, child support, parenting time and custody remain modifiable, and can be revisited by the court if there is a sufficient change in circumstance or proper purpose. If spousal support is ordered, and it is modifiable, it may also be revisited where there is a change in circumstances. A Judge cannot order non-modifiable spousal support, but the parties can agree to it being non-modifiable. There are a variety of reasons why non-modifiability, may be preferable. See the discussion on Spousal Support.
